A third of the way through...

What is funny to me about my current project is that it started as a way to get an introverted girl out and doing things in life whether or not they were in her comfort zone.  Honestly it also was a way for me, at 28 and still single, to make life exciting.  Then, when people asked about my non-existent dating life I could answer with "no, I'm not dating anyone, but I did just take an amazing trip to Crater Lake and hiked part of the Pacific Crest Trail."  Not that I was being bombarded with dating questions or anything.  I love, however, that I serve a God with a sense of humor.  Now only 10 items in and several more left to go in the next year (yes, I have mapped things out so that everything will get accomplished on time- I can be competitive and plan on finishing what I have started), I find myself completing many of the items on my list with a boyfriend in tow.  I didn't plan this at all, but there he is, and what started as a single person's list of fun life adventures has turned into the "what should we do on this date?" list.  Not that I'm at all complaining.  It is much more fun to do these activities with someone else than to complete them on my own.  And not that he will be completing everything on the list with me.  He very clearly stated that he will not be running a half-marathon with me.  Plus, some of my girlfriends have already laid claim to some of the activities (yes, Rosanna and Lynnae, I have reserved #4 and #11 for you two respectively).  But it does remind me of one of my favorite verses:
The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight over you, he will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

So, whatever God has in store for you; whether it is enjoying His creation, spending time with good friends, or living out your own next big adventure, may God delight over you as you complete the plan He has for you...and may I somehow complete more items on this long "to-do" list.  Blessings!

Aaron and I at Silver Creek Falls- #22 on the list
