Día dos en Argentina

The first thing you should know is that the days in Buenos Aires have been extremely busy, so it is hard to find any free time to post on my blog even though we have Wi-Fi in our hotel. Second, we are go, go, go, so each day is packed full with new experiences and things to see. Therefore, this will be a compact version of what I have been doing while I have been in Buenos Aires. Day #2 was packed full. Since we were now well rested and ready to attack the city, we carried forth with our plans- which very quickly changed when the first museum we were headed to was “closed until further notice.” That didn’t stop us, though. We headed straight for Puerto Madero, where we discovered a museum on the ship Corbeta Uruguay.

Add to this an interesting marketing ploy involving naked mannequins tattooed with an unknown emblem, and seeing the well known Puente de la Mujer which is supposed to look like two tango dancers when it swings open to let boats pass and you have a full morning.

This, however, was only the beginning of the day. We continued on to walk past La Casa Rosada- or government building of Argentina, through La Plaza de Mayo, in remembrance of the May Revolution, and on down La Avenia de Mayo to La Plaza de Congreso (Congress Building).

We had café in one of the oldest cafés in Buenos Aires and then later returned to La Plaza de Mayo.

But that is a story in and of itself.
