Gaucho Party

July 9th was Argentina’s Independence Day and we were treated to a Gaucho Party that day. This meant a lot of meat, riding horses and dancing. I think the pictures best express it so I am not going to write much. We took a scenic ride out from Rosario over the only bridge that connects Rosario to Entre Rios. Then we drove throughlots of marshy cattle land until we came to the ranch where we would have our party. Here they provided horses for us to ride and we all ate empanadas while we waited for all of the meat to cook. Lunch consisted of a course of sausage and salads, first round of meat, and then as if we weren’t already stuffed, they brought us around a second cut of beef. Then came the super sweet desserts. After our horse riding adventures and our mountain of food, they provided us with live entertainment of folk dancers, eventually inviting us to come and dance with them. Lots of fun all around! Enjoy the pictures!
